1. Product Overview

The 4-inch 5000psi H₂S transfer drilling hose is a high-pressure flexible conveying pipe specially designed for hydrogen sulfide (H₂S)-containing working conditions in the oil drilling industry. It strictly complies with API 16C and other drilling industry standards, accurately matching the core specifications of 4-inch (101.6mm) diameter, 5000psi (34.5MPa) working pressure, and 25-meter standard length. Equipped with NPT X 1002 special joints, it has excellent H₂S corrosion resistance, high-pressure resistance, wear resistance and weather resistance. It is the core equipment for transferring corrosive media in H₂S-containing oil and gas well drilling operations, and can stably adapt to complex drilling scenarios such as onshore and offshore, ensuring safe and efficient operation.

(2) Core Structure and Material

  • Inner Layer Material: Made of H₂S-resistant special materials (such as HNBR hydrogenated nitrile rubber, FKM fluororubber or UHMWPE ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene), the material is dense and has extremely strong corrosion resistance. It can effectively resist the erosion of H₂S gas and H₂S-containing media, prevent medium leakage, and has good wear resistance, which can resist the scouring of cuttings and sand in drilling media, extend the service life of the hose, and meet the requirements of ISO 15156 standard for materials in H₂S-containing environments.
  • Reinforcement Layer Structure: Wound or braided with multiple layers of high-strength steel wire (usually 2-4 layers), using high-toughness and tensile-resistant aviation-grade steel wire, processed by precision winding technology, it can stably withstand 5000psi high pressure, and the burst pressure is not less than 2.5 times the working pressure. It also has excellent anti-rotational fatigue performance, adapting to the high-frequency vibration and dynamic bending of drill pipes in drilling operations, avoiding pipe bulging and breaking.
  • Outer Layer Material: Made of special synthetic rubber with wear resistance, weather resistance, antistatic and salt spray resistance, added with anti-aging and anti-ozone additives, it can resist mechanical friction, rock impact, ultraviolet radiation and marine salt spray erosion at the drilling site, protect the inner layer and reinforcement layer from damage, and has antistatic performance to eliminate potential safety hazards in H₂S-containing environments, adapting to harsh working conditions such as onshore deserts, gobi and offshore platforms.
  • Joint Configuration: Adopting NPT X 1002 special joints, NPT thread connection is tight with excellent sealing performance. Combined with the high-strength structure of Type 1002 joints, it can withstand the impact force under high-pressure working conditions. The joint and pipe body are connected by an integrated pressing process, which is firm and not loose, effectively preventing H₂S-containing media from leaking from the joint and ensuring operation safety.
