Rotary hose API 7K manufactured in China
Rotary Hose API 7K is a core supporting component for oil and gas drilling, developed and produced in strict accordance with API 7K international standards (including API Spec. 7K FSL 1 FSL 2 and ABS certification requirements). Also known as drilling rotary hose or mud hose, it is specially designed for onshore and offshore drilling and workover operations. Its core function is to provide flexible connection between the standpipe and top drive, as well as between the mud pump and standpipe, realizing safe transmission of high-pressure mud, and it is an indispensable key equipment in the drilling circulation system. The working pressure of the hose ranges from 1500PSI to 15000PSI, with an inner diameter of 2-6 inches, and the working temperature range is -20℃ to 121℃ (some specifications can withstand -40℃ low temperature). The burst pressure can reach 2.5-3 times the working pressure, which can effectively resist drilling mud erosion, mechanical impact and high and low temperature fluctuations, ensuring continuous and stable drilling operations.
Its structural characteristics meet the strict requirements of API 7K standard, adopting a multi-layer composite reinforcement design, with each layer cooperating for protection and clear division of labor. The inner tube is made of NR&SBR synthetic rubber, HNBR or UPE material, processed by special technology, with excellent oil resistance, drilling mud erosion resistance and weak acid and alkali resistance. It can withstand the scouring of drilling mud, hydraulic oil and other media for a long time, avoid aging and cracking of the inner rubber, ensure the tightness of fluid transmission, and eliminate leakage hazards. The reinforcement layer is the core force-bearing structure, using 2-6 layers of high-strength super flexible steel wire or steel wire rope spiral winding process. The steel wire is made of high-toughness galvanized material, with uniform winding density and consistent tension, which not only greatly improves the high-pressure resistance and pulse resistance of the hose, but also adapts to the rotation, bending and vibration conditions during drilling, buffers the impact caused by pressure fluctuations, and extends the fatigue service life of the hose. The outer cover is made of wear-resistant and weather-resistant synthetic rubber, added with ozone-resistant and anti-aging additives, which can effectively resist outdoor high and low temperatures, ultraviolet rays, mechanical friction and dust erosion at drilling sites, protect the inner structure, and is equipped with integral union or flange joints, adapting to API standard connection methods, with convenient installation and reliable sealing.
In terms of operating conditions, Rotary Hose API 7K is mainly suitable for the whole scene of oil and gas drilling and workover, and adapts to various harsh conditions with excellent performance. On offshore drilling platforms, the hose can withstand high humidity, salt spray erosion and mechanical shaking caused by wind and waves, and is used for flexible connection between the mud pump and standpipe to realize stable transmission of high-pressure mud, adapting to the strict requirements of deep-sea drilling. In onshore oil and gas drilling scenarios, whether it is shale gas drilling, conventional oil and gas drilling or mining drilling, it can adapt to the rotation operation needs of drilling platforms, connect the standpipe and top drive, allow free vertical movement of the drill string, withstand mechanical impact, dust erosion and high and low temperature changes during drilling, and ensure the normal operation of the mud circulation system. In addition, the hose can also be used for mud transmission in workover operations, adapting to different types of drilling equipment, and can be customized into full specifications of 2-6 inches according to working conditions. Each hose has passed pressure test, pulse test and leakage test, with traceable quality, fully complying with API 7K standard requirements, and is a trusted choice for onshore and offshore oil and gas drilling operations.
