Structure and application of fiber reinforced hose
Fiber-reinforced hydraulic hose is a flexible pipe used to transmit high-pressure fluids. It is widely used in industries such as industry and engineering machinery. The following is its detailed composition structure, application industry and usage conditions:
1. Main composition structure
1. Inner Tube
Material: Usually oil-resistant and corrosion-resistant synthetic rubber (such as NBR nitrile rubber, HNBR hydrogenated nitrile rubber) or thermoplastic material (such as TPE).
Function: Direct contact with the conveying medium (hydraulic oil, water-based liquid, etc.), it must have good sealing and resistance to medium erosion.
2. Reinforcement Layer
Fiber material: high-strength synthetic fiber (such as aramid, polyester, nylon or ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene fiber).
Structure: multi-layer braiding or spiral winding, providing pressure bearing capacity while maintaining flexibility.
Features: Compared with steel wire reinforced hose, fiber reinforcement is lighter and resistant to bending fatigue.
3. Cover
Material: wear-resistant, ozone-resistant, and aging-resistant rubber or polyurethane.
Function: Protect the reinforcement layer from mechanical damage (friction, impact) and environmental influences (ultraviolet rays, chemicals).
4. Optional additional layers
Conductive layer: used in situations where anti-static is required (such as conveying flammable media).
Identification layer: Surface printing of specifications, standards and other information (such as SAE, EN, etc.).
2. Application industries
1. Engineering machinery
Equipment: excavators, loaders, cranes, etc.
Application: hydraulic system power transmission, such as boom cylinders, travel motor control.
2. Agricultural machinery
Equipment: tractors, harvesters.
Application: hydraulic steering, lifting devices, etc.
3. Industrial equipment
Scenarios: injection molding machines, die-casting machines, machine tool hydraulic systems.
Features: high temperature resistance and oil resistance.
4. Mining and construction
Equipment: rock drills, shield machines.
Requirements: resistance to stone impact and resistance to extreme working conditions.
5. Transportation
Application: Truck hydraulic tailgate, ship hydraulic system.
Requirement: Lightweight and salt spray corrosion resistant.
6. New energy field
Such as: wind turbine hydraulic pitch system.
3. Typical use conditions
1. Pressure range: Normal working pressure is 10~40 MPa, and the bursting pressure can reach 4 times the working pressure.
2. Temperature range:
Conventional type: 40°C ~ +100°C (NBR inner rubber).
High temperature type: up to +120°C (using FKM fluororubber or special coating).
3. Media compatibility: hydraulic oil (mineral oil, HFA/HFB emulsion), water ethylene glycol, etc.
4. Dynamic performance: suitable for frequent bending or pulse pressure scenarios (such as robot arm movement).
5. Environmental adaptability: outdoor (UV-resistant), humid, dusty or chemically corrosive environment.
4. Advantages and limitations
Advantages:
Lightweight, easy to install;
Good flexibility, suitable for complex wiring;
Non-magnetic, suitable for sensitive environments.
Limitations:
Ultra-high pressure resistance is weaker than that of steel wire reinforced hose;
Long-term exposure to high temperature or sharp objects can easily damage.
5. Selection considerations
1. Select the inner rubber material according to the medium (such as phosphate ester hydraulic oil requires EPDM rubber).
2. Pay attention to the bending radius and pulse life when using it dynamically (such as ISO 18752 standard).
3. The outer rubber layer needs to match the environment (such as polyurethane outer rubber has better wear resistance).
Through reasonable selection and maintenance, fiber-reinforced hydraulic hoses can significantly improve equipment reliability and safety.
